How Partners can bond with their baby
Partners can feel left out when their partner is breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is something you can't do. Looking for other ways you can support and bond with baby, can make you feel more included.
Think about what you can do with your baby with out feeding them? This can be cuddling or having skin to skin with your baby. You may read or sing to your baby.
Whilst you are having this one-to-one time with your baby it allows your partner to go and get some rest, eat something, or a shower. You will be beginning to be aware of your baby's early feeding cues. When they are beginning to get ready to feed. You can take your baby to your partner for them to feed. Maybe even encouraging baby to latch on with out disturbing mother too much.
